Kelley Blue Book has named the 2021 Kia Seltos ‘Best New Model’ in the 2021 Best Buy Awards in the Subcompact SUV category. The Seltos was given this award based on its versatility, modern technology, class-leading cargo space, and wide array of safety features. The Seltos was also named Best Subcompact SUV.

Cargo Space

Although the Seltos is a subcompact SUV, it is still quite roomy on the inside with plenty of head- and legroom in the front and back seats. In the back seats specifically, there is 38-inches of room which is comparable to a full-size sedan.

The Seltos also has the best-in-class space for cargo behind the second row that increases to 62.8 cubic feet with the second row folded down.

Safety

The lowest trim level of the Seltos, the Seltos S, comes standard with Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assist, Forward Collision Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection, Hill-Start Assist, Downhill Brake Control, Rear Occupant Alert, and automatic high beams. Also standard are front airbags, seat-mounted side airbags, full-length side-curtain airbags, and tire pressure monitoring.

All-wheel drive is standard on the LX and comes with a lock mode for added traction. All AWD models also come with independent rear suspension for a better ride and handling.

Higher trim levels add Adaptive Cruise Control, Rear-Cross Traffic Alert, blind-spot collision-avoidance assist, and safe-exit assist. You can also get highway-driving assist.
