Kia Niro: Women’s World Car of the Year

The Women’s World Car of the year award was created in 2009 in New Zealand by an automotive journalist named Sandy Myhre. Included in the Women’s World Car of the year is 63 journalists from 43 different continents! 59 vehicles are tested on many important factors to determine its rank for this award.

Kia NiroThe Kia Niro beat out five other category winners. The Niro stood out to judges due to its state-of-the-art electrified powertrain options package. The Niro also earned the “Urban Car of the Year” award initially until the jury panel recognized it as the supreme winner overall.
