Kia Motors America (KMA) today introduced a completely redesigned customer web site, www.Kia.com, which has been updated to provide consumers with a new and easier way to navigate their online experience.  The site, which provides both model-specific and historical brand information, is segmented to make it easier for consumers to find the exact Kia vehicle they’re looking for based not only on model category such as sedan or crossover, but also on individual feature preferences such as leather seat trims or all-wheel drive.

Kia Leads All Other Brands in Top Safety Pick Ratings

Kia has more vehicles with Top Safety Pick (TSP) and Top Safety Pick Plus (TSP+) ratings than any other brand. The new distinction was achieved when the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) recently awarded Top Safety Pick to the new 2020 Kia Telluride, which received “Good” ratings in all six IIHS crashworthiness tests and an “Acceptable” rating for headlights.

Industry Veteran Named Director of Marketing Operations

Kia Motors America (KMA) today announced that Russell Wager has joined the company in the newly created role of director, marketing operations. The former vice president of marketing for Mazda North America Operations will oversee all advertising, media, partnerships and experiential marketing activities.
 
Wager, who began work today, assumes one of three director-level positions in KMA’s marketing department which currently report to the company’s chief operating officer and EVP, Michael Cole.

2020 Kia Soul Earns Top Safety Pick Plus Rating

The completely redesigned 2020 Kia Soul has earned Top Safety Pick Plus (TSP+) status from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). The TSP+ designation was awarded to Soul models equipped with optional Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist1 systems and LED headlights2. On the heels of the Stinger’s recent TSP+ rating, the Soul’s new accolade increases the total number of Kia vehicles with 2019 Top Safety Pick3 or Top Safety Pick Plus4 ratings to 11 when equipped with optional front crash prevention and specific headlights.

Kia Motors Ranked Highest Mass Market Brand for Fifth Consecutive Year

For the fifth consecutive year, Kia was named the number one non-luxury automotive brand today by J.D. Power in the 2019 U.S. Initial Quality Study (IQS), with a reported 70 problems per 100 vehicles, a two-point improvement over last year’s results.  Kia’s continued success in IQS was led by having four models – Rio, Forte, Sportage and Soul -- included among the top 10 vehicles in the industry, the most of any brand.  In addition, Kia had segment-topping performances from Rio (Small Car), Forte (Compact Car), Sportage (Small SUV) and Sedona (Minivan).
