Consumer Reports Names the Telluride The Best SUV of 2021

Consumer Reports shared their new rankings of the best SUV choices in 2021 for automotive customers. The top 10 picks were chosen for their top-notch performance, safety, reliability, and more.

Experts who rated these SUVs looked at a number of different factors including road-test performance, predicted reliability, owner satisfaction, safety and environmental friendliness. Over 50 categories were analyzed along with the results of owner surveys.

Consumer Reports experts also considered the presence and/or lack of safety features such as forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, and blind spot warning.

The Kia Telluride took the top spot with an overall score of 96 out of 100!

The Telluride continues to offer handsome looks, unexpected luxurious features, and unbeatable value. It executes its mission to comfortably carry a family and their cargo with a rugged exterior and upscale interior.

Along with an array of standard safety features each model has a sleek infotainment system, and the tip trim offers luxuries such as ventilated rear seats for an affordable price.

For the upcoming 2022 Telluride, the new Kia logo will appear on the slightly restyled grille, rear liftgate, and steering wheel cover. The two lowest trims benefit from more standard features including a 10.3-inch touchscreen and fully automatic temperature control. Both models now come with autonomous adaptive cruise control that uses the navigation system to actively adjust the vehicle’s speed going into turns and corners.
